As a point of obvious common-sense you know it
But you hunger for a leader in your heart and in your soul
to the extent that you will give a fair hearing to ANYONE who has the chutzpah to stand up and say they ‘know the way’

Human Catholic Priests stand up and say God has given them authority on Earth and in Heaven and you believe them
Human Protestant Preachers stand up and say the Holy Ghost speaks out of their mouth and you believe them
The Anglican church put itself forward as a sensible balance between these two extremists and you walked away because that was too wishy-washy

Jesus Christianity has no heresy because there is no phariseeism
It has no doctrine or dogma or reading or studying or ‘immersing’ or paperwork
Jesus Christianity is the active, hands-on relief of suffering ‘on the ground’
and if it is not practical, hands-on work it is not Jesus Christianity

Creeds, rulings, councils, deacons, priests, bishops, headquarters, sales, marketing, accounting, finance … are all HUMAN constructions
You will come up with a hundred reasons why these are absolutely critical to the church and a thousand reasons why those in them serve God but none of it is true

Jesus Christianity is your personal relationship with Jesus
and unless you are personally relieving suffering you have no personal relationship with Jesus
What you may have is an arguable case why you should be allowed into Heaven
and the courts of law that govern this universe are not where Jesus is

Roman Catholicism is not the truth of God in as much as Protestantism is not the truth of God. Both are as wrong as each other.

Both are human. Both are very far below perfect. But either is better than nothing. And as humans will talk, debate, and argue … and put themselves through study courses and retreats … and spend hours and hours and hours in fasting or prayer … in fact do ANYTHING but get out there and get their hands dirty relieving suffering … both do a bloody good job with the piss-poor material they have to work with
